Hello, I am Jacob Hunter, EA and I am the owner of Hunter Tax.

I was born and raised in the Puget Sound area, spending my childhood between Port Orchard and Tacoma. For as long as I can remember, my passion has been to see small businesses thrive as I believe they are the backbone of the American society. This passion inspired me to become a tax professional to serve my local communities.

Diversity, equity, and inclusion is a vital part of my mission. I work to support BIPOC and LGBTQ+ communities in my professional and personal life. I volunteer my time to help local organizations that support underrepresented populations with their bookkeeping and tax preparation.

Since becoming an Enrolled Agent in 2019, I’ve committed myself to providing the highest level of trust and integrity in my relationships with my clients. I attribute my success to my customer service as I believe empathy is the highest form of communication. Nothing is as rewarding as when I can find innovative ways to reduce my clients’ tax burden. It’s led to word-of-mouth referrals from happy clients, which fills me with immense joy and makes all the long hours worthwhile.
